“The Caitlin Clark Effect” strikes again!
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark, as well as Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, have been named as WNBA All-Star captains after getting the most fan votes out of anybody in the league. Clark came in at No. 1 overall. (RELATED: Angel Reese Puts Up Another Flashy Performance — Has She Finally Found Her Game?)
Clark landed a total of 1.29 million votes, with Collier tallying 1.18 million. In comparison, truly showing the impact that Clark has on the WNBA, the 2023 All-Star Game only saw 1.17 million votes altogether for their top-30 vote-getters. And yes, that’s combined.
For the 2025 campaign, Clark is recording a stat line of 18.2 points-per-game and 8.9 assists-per-game, which is a career-high. Statistically, there’s no problem, but she has been battling quad and groin injuries this season, seeing her miss seven games. On the year, the Fever are sitting at 8-8.

Let’s go ahead and give Napheesa Collier some love, she definitely deserves some love for pulling in over one million votes. *claps*

But let’s be honest here, the WNBA isn’t bringing in any of these numbers without Caitlin Clark.
I mean, damn, it’s crazy how the league was barely scraping over one million votes for their All-Star Game before Clark, and now she’s over here pulling in more than a milli by herself.
Absolutely incredible stuff by Caitlin Clark.
