Cassie Ventura May Be Telling Truth About Diddy But Is Doing Herself No Favors With Court Testimony

Cassie Ventura made bombshell revelations during her testimony against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, but some of those details may have worked in the rapper’s favor.

Ventura took the stand Friday for the fourth day in a row, and is expected to be grilled by Diddy’s legal team during cross-examination. Diddy’s defense team is aiming to demonstrate his alleged victims were consenting adults, and Ventura’s first three days in court provided them with a lot to work with. Ventura claimed that Diddy raped her on her living room floor after they had broken up, but later in her testimony she also admitted to having consensual sex with him after the alleged rape.  Ventura also admitted to consenting to some of the freak-offs.

Ventura was forced to read some explicit texts she sent to Diddy aloud in the courtroom. “I’m always ready to freak off,” she wrote in 2009, according to the Associated Press.

Diddy responded enthusiastically to Ventura’s text, to which she replied, “I just want it to be uncontrollable,” according to the Associated Press.

“Wish we could’ve FO’d before you left,” Ventura wrote to Combs in July 2013, using “FO” to represent “freak-offs.”

In a 2017 text message, Cassie told Combs: “I love our FOs when we both want it.”

Diddy’s defense said his sexual preferences were part of a swingers lifestyle, and Ventura confirmed on the stand that they were swingers, according to TMZ.

Diddy’s defense attorney Anna Estevao gently questioned Ventura, who is heavily pregnant and expecting her third child, and asked Ventura if her “swingers lifestyle” and the freak-offs were connected.

“Related in a sexual way, yeah. But they’re very different,” Ventura said on the stand, according to TMZ.

In other text messages that were read aloud, Diddy asked Cassie if he had her permission to set up a freak-off and she replied by saying she was ovulating. He asked if they could “kiss a lot,” and she agreed to move forward, according to TMZ.  Ventura asked Diddy which hotel they should meet at, and testified that she offered to stock up on sex supplies at a local sex shop called the Pleasure Chest, where she obtained lubricants and outfits, according to TMZ.

Elsewhere in her testimony, Ventura admitted to breaking up with Diddy, entering into a relationship with Kid Cudi, then returning to date Diddy again, which appears to stray from the narrative that her involvement with the rapper was forced or coerced. Ventura admitted to asking Diddy for $30 million for rights to a book she was writing about him before she filed her lawsuit in court. Diddy pushed back on the request, but within 24 hours of her court filing, issued Ventura a $20 million payout.

Diddy’s trial is expected to last several weeks. The rapper faces a life sentence if convicted.
