CBP Busts Iranian Illegal Alien Human Smuggling Hub, Several Tied to Terror Watch List [WATCH]

A residence in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles has been identified by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a hub for Iranian human smuggling activity, following multiple arrests made at the location over the past week.

Federal authorities executed a warrant at the property on Friday afternoon and confirmed the detention of two individuals linked to the operation.

CBP officials stated that the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into a smuggling network connected to individuals from Iran and other adversarial regimes.

According to authorities, this is the second federal law enforcement action at the same address in less than a week.

On Friday, CBP agents arrived at the North Hills residence around 3:00 p.m. to carry out a warrant.

The operation follows the earlier arrest of seven Iranian nationals at the same property earlier in the week. Some of those arrested were reportedly listed on the FBI’s Terrorist Watchlist.

In a statement posted to X, CBP wrote, “Earlier this week, seven Iranian nationals were arrested at the same address—including individuals on the FBI Terror Watchlist and associates of an Iranian human trafficking network.”

The agency added, “The location has been repeatedly used to harbor illegal entrants linked to terrorism. Under @POTUS, CBP is taking aggressive action to shut down smuggling networks and remove national security threats before they can do harm.”

CBP Assistant Commissioner Hilton Beckham issued a statement explaining the broader implications of the investigation.

“Intelligence indicates the smuggling network has trafficked individuals from adversarial regimes, including Iran — posing direct risks to U.S. national security,” Beckham stated.

Local media outlet KCAL News interviewed several North Hills residents who said they had noticed unusual activity in the area in recent months.

According to neighbors, someone new had moved into the home about six months ago, and the behavior around the property raised concerns.

“There was a bunch of young people and they would hang out at night, pacing on the phone, sitting on the curb,” said neighborhood resident Claudio Bonoli.

“Talking to my neighbors, they say they were kind of intimidated by them.”

Bonoli added, “It’s only two houses from my house. This has been a really great, quiet neighborhood for a long time. So, it’s totally surprising.”

Officials have not released the names of the individuals arrested on Friday or the seven arrested earlier in the week.

CBP has also not disclosed how long the smuggling operation had been active at the location or how many individuals may have passed through the site prior to law enforcement intervention.

The agency confirmed that the operation remains part of a larger national security effort targeting human smuggling networks involving individuals from high-risk regions.

No injuries were reported during the execution of the warrant on Friday.

As of now, the Department of Homeland Security is continuing its investigation into the broader network and whether additional arrests or actions are forthcoming.
