‘Chicken Little B*tch’: Democrat Rep Resorts To Vulgarities While Criticizing Republican Colleague

Democratic Wisconsin Rep. Mark Pocan fired back at a Republican colleague on social media Wednesday, hurling a vulgar insult in response to criticism over immigration policy.

Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden shared a post about the arrest of 11 illegal aliens in Minneapolis who were reportedly convicted s*x offenders and ped*philes and added the caption: “Why does @RebeccaforWI and her mentor @MarkPocan put these criminals before American citizens?” After Van Orden asked why Pocan and fellow Democrat Rebecca Cooke “put these criminals before American citizens,” Pocan replied with vulgarities.

“Debate the bill, chicken little bitch. Lol. You crack me up,” Pocan responded.

Matters escalated.

“This is not normal behavior,” Van Orden posted on X. “@MarkPocan needs to seek mental health counseling, this is sad.”

Pocan fired back: “Someone is hurt. And too afraid to stand up for the Big Ugly Bill.”

Wisconsin Right Now later said Van Orden is a former Navy SEAL chief with multiple combat deployments, writing “They just can’t stand DVO because he flipped a seat a Democrat held for 20+ years.”

Pocan doubled down.

“Who’s afraid to debate a bill? Yah, that’s a chicken.” Pocan didn’t stop there. He then accused Van Orden of not understanding the bill he voted on.

“I don’t know why @derrickvanorden keeps showing his ignorance. Clearly, he doesn’t know what he votes on. The billion dollars was voted on by the WI legislature in the WI state Budget, not the Big Ugly Bill,” Pocan said. “The deduction for seniors is $6000, not $4000. Who reads for him? 🤦‍♂️”

The bill in question is President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which passed the House last week. Speaker Mike Johnson barreled forward with a vote after an overnight session and convinced a group of conservative holdouts to support the legislation. Lawmakers approved the bill 218 to 214, with Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joining all Democrats in opposition. The final budget reconciliation bill packs a sweeping set of Trump’s policy priorities into an 870-page package.

The legislation permanently extends Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, eliminates taxes on tips and overtime pay, and raises the child tax credit to $2,200. It also allocates hundreds of billions of dollars for border security and defense while cutting more than $1.5 trillion in mandatory spending over the next decade. The bill slows the growth of Medicaid by roughly $1 trillion over 10 years.

Pocan’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
