Country music star Chris Stapleton postponed the first date of his “2025 All-American Road Show Tour” as a result of damaged equipment.
Stapleton announced the cancellation with an Instagram post June 1, notifying fans that he was unable to proceed with the show scheduled for June in Greenville, South Carolina.
“Critical pieces of our tour production were damaged beyond repair while en route to Greenville,” Stapleton said in his statement. “Unfortunately, without that equipment, we are unable to put on the show.”
The famous singer did not provide any information about how the equipment sustained damage.
Stapleton’s statement continued, “The Greenville show is rescheduled for Wednesday, July 9. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.”
He provided some direction to fans affected by the scheduling change.
“For those unable to attend the rescheduled date, please contact your point of purchase. Refund requests through Ticketmaster must be submitted by Tuesday, June 24. The All-American Road Show will now start in Charlottesville on Friday, June 6,” Stapleton wrote.
The country star signed off by writing, “Greenville, we appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We look forward to seeing you on July 9.”

Stapleton’s “2025 All-American Roadshow” includes a number of tour stops throughout the summer and into the fall. He will stop for some back-to-back nights in Grand Rapids, Michigan, New York City, New York and Denver, Colorado, among others. Fans quickly posted their frustrations in the comment section, with many noting they had traveled to attend the concert and were not able to attend the new concert date. Some fans mentioned the tickets were for special occasions that were spoiled, and others slammed the singer for not having back-up equipment and not attempting to perform using alternative equipment or an adjusted set list.
