Clay Travis Says He Knows ‘Perfect’ Place To Send Kilmar Abrego Garcia

OutKick founder Clay Travis said Friday on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” that the “perfect” place for alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia to be deported would have been socialist Democrat NYC mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani’s “compound” in Uganda.

Abrego Garcia was notified by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Friday afternoon that he would be deported to Eswatini, Africa. While discussing Abrego Garcia’s soon-to-be home, Fox’s Jesse Watters asked Travis if he could believe where the illegal migrant was being sent, noting he had never heard of the country before. “I haven’t heard it either. And Jesse, I really wanted him to get to go to the compound of Mamdani in Uganda. I thought this was the perfect solution to this problem. Mamdani’s got his own security. He’s got his own security guards,” Travis said.

“He was born in Uganda. He owns a compound there. Why wouldn’t he want an illegal immigrant to be able to take refuge at his Ugandan compound? It just felt like it was bringing the Maryland dad and the commie Mamdani all together in one big, beautiful harmony,” Travis added. “And I’m so disappointed that’s not the case.”

The socialist Democrat seeking to become New York City’s mayor was born in Uganda and moved to the U.S. at seven years old. While currently living in NYC, Mamdani also acquired four acres of land in Jinja, Uganda, reportedly valued between $150,000 and $250,000, according to Mint.

While the Trump administration had sought to deport Abrego Garcia to Uganda after his release from prison on Aug. 22, an Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge, Paula Xinis, ordered that he remain detained in the U.S. until an evidentiary hearing is held.

In an email first obtained by Fox News and later confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation, ICE, however, plans to send the illegal migrant to the small southern African country due to his “fear” of “persecution or torture” in 22 other countries.

“Your attorney has informed us, however, that you fear persecution or torture in Uganda. That claim of fear is hard to take seriously, especially given that you have claimed (through your attorneys) that you fear persecution or torture in at least 22 different countries,” the email sent by ICE to Abrego Garcia’s attorneys states.

The countries Abrego Garcia allegedly feared include El Salvador, Uganda, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Democrats have long rallied behind Abrego Garcia since his first deportation to El Salvador in March, with some, like Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, taking taxpayer-funded trips to visit him in the foreign country at the time. While Mamdani has not publicly spoken about Abrego Garcia’s case, the socialist Democrat has previously threatened to use his potential power to “stop masked ICE agents from deporting our neighbors.”
