CNN Analyst Shreds Left’s Fake Narrative About Regretful Trump Voters [WATCH]

CNN’s top data analyst Harry Enten pushed back Wednesday against the narrative that large numbers of President Donald Trump’s 2024 voters regret casting their ballots for him, pointing to recent polling that shows otherwise.

During a segment on “CNN News Central,” Enten cited a University of Massachusetts Amherst/YouGov poll released Monday, which found that only 2% of Trump voters expressed regret about their decision and said they would vote differently if given the chance.

An additional 1% said they would rather not vote. According to Enten, this suggests that nearly 95% of Trump’s 2024 supporters would still stand by their original vote.

“I hear all these stories, all these articles, ‘All the Trump voters, they regret what they did back in 2024.’ I’m here to tell you, ‘Uh uh,’” Enten said on-air.

“Very few of them regret what they did back in 2024. What are we talking about? Trump voters looking back at 2024, we got a new poll out. The poll was conducted this month. What percentage would change their vote to a different candidate? We’re talking just 2%. Just 2%. That’s not even a wide spot on the road.”

Enten added that the total number of Trump voters who might reconsider their 2024 decision is “under 5%,” which he said does not reflect a significant shift.

The poll also examined voter regret among supporters of Trump’s 2024 opponent, former Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to Enten, regret levels among Harris voters were similarly low, indicating that a hypothetical re-vote would likely result in a similar outcome or a closely contested race.

“Donald Trump voters back in 2024. And then you ask, okay, the same question of Kamala Harris voters. And it turns out the numbers are rather similar,” Enten said.

“So if there was a repeat, if folks got to be able to redo their vote that they had back in 2024, would the result be any different? I doubt it would be. I doubt it would be or it would still be extremely close.”

Enten further noted that this pattern is consistent with what was observed following the 2016 election, where Trump voters also expressed strong commitment to their choice years later.

“So the bottom line is this: If there’s some idea out there that Trump voters are going around, ‘Man, I wish I had voted for Kamala Harris instead of Donald Trump,’ the numbers say that is a fanciful universe,” he said.

“It really, for the most part, does not exist.”

Since Trump’s return to office, some media reports have attempted to highlight individual voters who expressed feelings of guilt or hesitation, especially following major executive actions that impacted immigration enforcement and slashed federal bureaucratic power.

However, Enten’s breakdown of the data counters those narratives with statistical evidence.

President Trump’s approval rating currently sits at approximately 47% in the RealClearPolitics polling average. Despite media speculation about internal dissatisfaction, Enten’s analysis suggests Trump’s 2024 base remains largely intact.
