New intelligence assessments from both Israel and Iran support President Donald Trump’s earlier statements that U.S. airstrikes successfully destroyed key components of Iran’s nuclear program, directly contradicting reports circulated by CNN and other media outlets.

Trump’s Sovereign Wealth Fund: What Could It Mean For Your Money?
On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a report from the Israel Atomic Energy Commission on X, stating that the U.S. airstrike on Iran’s Fordo enrichment facility “destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable.”
“We assess that the American strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes on other elements of Iran’s military nuclear program, has set back Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years,” the Israeli report added.
“The achievement can continue indefinitely if Iran does not get access to nuclear material.”

In a separate post, Leavitt cited Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, who admitted the extent of the damage: “Our nuclear installations have been badly damaged, that’s for sure.”

Leavitt also posted comments from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, who confirmed that significant damage was likely.
“Given the explosive payload utilized, and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, very significant damage is expected to have occurred,” Grossi said.
Grossi further detailed the scope of the attack, stating that at Iran’s Esfahan site, U.S. cruise missiles struck buildings involved in the uranium conversion process.
He also noted that entrances to tunnels used to store enriched materials appeared to have been hit.
At the Natanz enrichment site, the Fuel Enrichment Plant was also targeted, with the U.S. using ground-penetrating munitions.

A White House press release referenced these statements and criticized media outlets for misrepresenting the results of the military operation.
President Trump’s original comment — “Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images. Obliteration is an accurate term!” — was dismissed by several news organizations, including CNN, until these intelligence findings came to light.

CNN had run a story suggesting that U.S. strikes had not significantly impacted Iran’s nuclear program.
The article, authored by Natasha Bertrand, claimed the operation only “set it back by months” and cited “four people briefed on” an early U.S. intelligence assessment.
The individuals cited were not named.
Bertrand previously authored the 2020 report claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign, a claim that was later debunked.
This CNN story was written by the same “reporter” who wrote the very first FAKE NEWS story claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was disinformation.
How did that work out for you, @NatashaBertrand? pic.twitter.com/x2CVhlhB1b

Commentator Ward Clark, writing for RedState, questioned the validity of the CNN report.
“The four people are not named, of course. One wonders if they’re the same leakers who broke the ‘Hunter’s laptop is Russian disinformation’ story to CNN, to this same reporter,” Clark wrote.
President Trump, speaking from the NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands, defended the military pilots who carried out the strike and criticized media outlets for downplaying the mission’s success.
“The pilots did an unbelievable job like nobody’s ever seen. They hit paydirt,” Trump told reporters.
“They should be admired and respected for what they did. And the Fake News, in order to try to hit me, the Fake News made them look bad. But now they look really good again.”

CNN also recently published a headline suggesting that Trump notified Republican congressional leaders of the strike before informing Democrats.
This is Fake News.
The White House made bipartisan courtesy calls to Congressional Leadership and spoke to @SenSchumer before the strike. @RepJeffries could not be reached until after, but he was briefed.

That report was later revised after the White House clarified the sequence of communications, according to RedState.
The strike on Iran’s nuclear sites has emerged as a significant point of contention between the Trump administration and media critics.
As additional intelligence emerges from both Israeli and Iranian sources, it appears the administration’s initial assessment of the operation’s success is being validated.
