CNN Panelists Visibly Rattled as Leftist Explains Trump’s Illegal Alien Mandate [WATCH]

Batya Ungar-Sargon, a leftist journalist known for her work at Newsweek, has openly embraced key aspects of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda, drawing a stark contrast between America’s working class and the elite class she says dominates the Democratic Party.

Though she identifies as a liberal, Ungar-Sargon has become a vocal supporter of Trump’s efforts to prioritize the interests of working-class Americans.

In a recent media appearance, she criticized what she described as a broken immigration system that has disproportionately harmed American laborers while benefiting the wealthy and politically connected.

Ungar-Sargon said she supports environmental action but believes the current green agenda is packed with “pet projects for the elites and the wealthy.”

She described Trump as someone who is working to level the playing field and reset a system she believes is rigged against ordinary Americans.

One of the key ways the president is doing that, she said, is through immigration enforcement, including securing the southern border and deporting those in the country illegally.

Ungar-Sargon said the low wages associated with illegal labor have undercut American workers for years, describing it as a competition the working class could never win.

She emphasized that the people most concerned about the recent deportations are not ordinary citizens, but the elite donor class that supports the Democratic Party.

“The elites are the consumers of low-wage labor, and when you guys say they’re taking people from the community, what you mean is they’re taking people from the workforce, people who undercut the wages of American workers,” Ungar-Sargon said during the segment.

She also rejected the commonly repeated line that illegal immigrants are only taking jobs Americans don’t want, calling that claim a false narrative.

“There is no job that is beneath the dignity of Americans,” she said.

Ungar-Sargon pointed out that millions of Americans already work in industries often associated with immigrant labor, such as agriculture, construction, and food service, further undermining the idea that these positions are inherently unattractive to American citizens.

She also took issue with what she described as repeated falsehoods from liberal commentators who continue to claim that Trump is only targeting criminal aliens.

She said the reality is that the current immigration enforcement plan under President Trump is broader, and includes the removal of individuals who are in the country unlawfully, regardless of criminal record.

Ungar-Sargon said that among immigrant U.S. citizens, there is widespread support for the president’s immigration

policies. According to her, that demographic has shifted 40 points toward Republicans.

“Trump has won the working class, the middle class, young voters, and now immigrant citizens—that’s electoral death if Democrats keep losing voter blocs like this,” she said.

Her comments visibly rattled her fellow panelists, Democrats Bakari Sellers and Karen Finney, who appeared unable to fully engage with her argument.

Ungar-Sargon’s alignment with Trump on immigration highlights what she views as a growing divide between the working class and an elite political establishment.

Her remarks echo an increasing sentiment among disaffected Democrats who feel their party has abandoned the economic interests of ordinary Americans.

President Trump won the 2024 election with immigration as a central issue of his campaign.

With a clear mandate from voters, his administration has moved swiftly to implement mass deportations and tighten border security.

Ungar-Sargon’s remarks suggest that these policies are resonating not just with traditional conservative voters, but also with left-leaning Americans who are frustrated with the direction of their own party.
