The disorganization here is diabolical.
Kentucky State and Franklin Pierce originally had plans to play college football Saturday in Puerto Rico. However, only six days prior to kickoff, the teams have decided to move the game back to the good ol’ U-S-of-A. If you’re not aware, the Thorobreds and Ravens is an historic matchup in Division II.
Instead of Puerto Rico, the game will now be played in New Hampshire, and they’ve also set it for Friday, a day ahead of schedule. (RELATED: Sam Houston State’s Shane Porter Kicked Off Team For Trashing His Own Program On Social Media: REPORT)
It was going to be the first-ever college football contest played in the U.S. territory, however, apparent concerns about field conditions and player safety made the teams withdraw from their plans.
“Due to field conditions and concerns for student-athlete safety, Kentucky State University and Franklin Pierce University have mutually agreed not to travel to Puerto Rico for the game scheduled on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. The matchup will now take place in Rindge, New Hampshire, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs,” stated Kentucky State Director of Athletics Grant Stepp.
“‘Protecting our student-athletes is always our first priority. While this is a disappointing outcome, it’s the right decision. We appreciate everyone who worked to make this event possible and remain committed to creating unique experiences for our student-athletes and fans.’”

Hmm … I can’t help but to think that something else is going on here, but maybe that’s just the natural skeptic in me. *thinking emoji*
