Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s yet-to-be-named Your Party is now charging a people a whopping £55 a year to be a member. Last month, when comrade Corbyn boasted of 600,000 “supporters,” it was free. Expect that number may drop…
In a rallying email to early sign-ups, the party wrote:
“For too long, Britain’s politics has been run in the interests of the rich and powerful. Joining isn’t just about signing up. It means taking part in a founding process that is genuinely democratic and member-led. This is your chance to help build something new. A party that belongs to its members, not the establishment.”
By comparison, Reform’s membership fee is £25 a year, the Tories’ £39 and Labour’s £70.50. Write your own jokes about the parties for ‘working people’…
UPDATE: This really isn’t going well…
