Nike ghosted everybody! LMAO!
Per an expert on crisis management, Nike staying quiet on whether or not they helped fund a trans adolescent study isn’t doing anything but making things worse and giving more life to the situation. Lee Carter, the Maslansky+Partners president and a partner herself, spoke in an interview regarding Nike being silent and that it isn’t doing anything but making people ask questions. On top of that, she also said that the narrative could be completely conquered by the public if the silence continues.
“All the language that they’ve used is ambiguous. It can be interpreted in any number of different ways,” said Carter. “It’s like Bill Clinton stating, ‘I never had sexual relations with that woman.’ What do those words mean? What are you trying to say? Anything that’s left ambiguous is going to be interpreted negatively when you have questions.”
Nike is making the situation around its alleged funding of a trans youth study infinitely worse by remaining silent, according to a crisis management expert we spoke with, who also explained how the brand is missing an opportunity by not speaking.

Nike, just release a statement or something so we can all move on with our lives. I have better things to do, like paying attention to the wild jury selection for Diddy’s trial, for example. Wouldn’t y’all rather everybody’s attention be focused on that rather than you, Nike?
Just sayin’.
