Emmy Award-winning independent investigative reporter Catherine Herridge shared newly declassified handwritten notes from former FBI Director James Comey exposing the Obama administration’s narrative on alleged Russian meddling in our elections.
Comey’s notes are from Oct. 5, 2016, and he writes at the top of the page, Election Updates. Further down, he writes:
What is the goal?
•informing US people?
•disrupting Russians?
The declassified notes were released under the direction of FBI Director Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, with Herridge noting that two days later, a joint DHS/DNI statement confirmed the meddling.
“These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process,” the statement read.

One thing the notes seem to expose for certain is that Comey was involved knee-deep in the Obama administration’s discussion on how to manipulate the Russian meddling narrative.
Another certainty is that social media users are convinced that the disgraced former FBI director should be in a prison cell.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
The Fix Was In Before the Fix Was In
This reads like a recipe from hell.Stunning to read these notes with participants including Susan Rice noted as “SR”
So much for “by the book”

The smoking gun of FBI director talking about what the leaders could do after the election should eventually land Comey in prison.

Why does the FBI need to “bake” anything into the public?
That sounds like a crime to me.— Geezus Man (@GeezusMan) September 4, 2025
#ArrestJamesComey These notes show the shaky foundation of the Russia narrative—time for accountability! #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw

Amazing, this treasonous fool is still free to walk our BEACHES THREATENING President Trump! Comey is a major KNOWN screw in the machinery of a coup but he has no problem making up a Bull Xhit story about it because he knows he can get away with it.
