Damning handwritten Comey notes show Obama admin ’embraced’ Russia meddling narrative

Emmy Award-winning independent investigative reporter Catherine Herridge shared newly declassified handwritten notes from former FBI Director James Comey exposing the Obama administration’s narrative on alleged Russian meddling in our elections.

Comey’s notes are from Oct. 5, 2016, and he writes at the top of the page, Election Updates. Further down, he writes:

What is the goal?

•informing US people?
•disrupting Russians?

The declassified notes were released under the direction of FBI Director Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, with Herridge noting that two days later, a joint DHS/DNI statement confirmed the meddling.

“These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process,” the statement read.

Herridge shares more Comey notes, including comments about taking action “after the election.”

One thing the notes seem to expose for certain is that Comey was involved knee-deep in the Obama administration’s discussion on how to manipulate the Russian meddling narrative.

Another certainty is that social media users are convinced that the disgraced former FBI director should be in a prison cell.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
