President Donald Trump reacted to the suggestion that Democrats could run a crazy 2028 presidential ticket.
Joining The New York Post‘s Miranda Devine on the ‘Pod Force One’ podcast, Trump was jokingly asked what he thought of a potential Hunter Biden/Jasmine Crockett ticket.
“That would be some ticket. No, these people are crazy, so you never know what’s going to happen,” Trump responded.
Hunter has recently come out in defense of his father, taking a flamethrower to high-profile figures in the Democrat Party such as George Clooney and others who have spoken ill of former President Joe Biden.
“F**k him! F**k him! F**k him and everybody around him. I don’t have to be f**king nice. Number one, I agree with Quentin Tarantino, fucking George Clooney is not a f**king actor. He is a f**king — like I don’t know what he is. He’s a brand,” Hunter Biden said in the interview with Andrew Callahan. “And by the way — and God bless him — you know what? He supposedly treats his friends really well. You know what I mean, buys them things, and he’s got a really great place in Lake Como, and he’s great friends with Barack Obama. F**k you! What do you have to do with f**king anything? Why do I have to f**king listen to you?”
“What right do you have to step on a man who’s given 52 years of his f**king life to the service of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full-page ad in the f**king ‘New York Times’?”
The interview quickly gained media attention and rocketed Hunter back into headlines, despite the Biden family remaining relatively low-key since the former president left office.
“Well, they had two chances to win the election,” Trump said during the interview. “They had him, and that didn’t work out, and he was down by 25 points or something, and then they switched him. It’s like taking a prize fighter out in the middle of the fight. It’s not fair.”
“They took him out, they put Kamala [in]. Nobody knew who Kamala was. I guess they say she’s going to try it again [in 2028], and I don’t see it,” he said. “But how about Crockett? Crockett is their new star.”
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has been in the media often, going to bat for her party amid flailing support numbers and an uncertain political future. Unfortunately, it appears that her entire strategy is to alienate half of the country, insult Republicans and Trump voters, and boost her own public profile.
Crockett has also defended Biden, which could endear her to the former first son if ever he did choose to run for the presidency.
“I never saw anything in Joe Biden that made me wonder whatsoever, and it’s not that I was with Joe Biden every single day, that’s for sure. The way that I would describe Joe is like, I mean, he’s a granddaddy, right?” Crockett said to Katie Couric in a podcast interview last month.
