America’s Governor had a blunt response to a “preordained” order from a globalism-favoring Obama-appointed judge vying to shut down Alligator Alcatraz.
At every level of government in response to nearly every step that President Donald Trump and the GOP have taken to restore national sovereignty, activism has played a hand in aiming to obstruct law and order. Friday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) demonstrated the importance of both working together with federal efforts and establishing a unified front against judicial overreach as he stood firm against the latest attempt to block deportations.
Flanked by members of the Florida Highway Patrol while providing an update on immigration enforcement in the panhandle that had led to nearly 200 apprehensions, DeSantis responded to an 82-page order from U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams that the detention center known as Alligator Alcatraz cease receiving detainees and be dismantled within 60 days as part of a lawsuit from the activist group Friends of the Everglades.
“This was not something that was unexpected. This is a judge that was not going to give us a fair shake. This was preordained,” said the governor. “Very much an activist judge that is trying to do policy from the bench. This is not going to deter us. We are going to continue working on the deportations, advancing that mission. We knew that this would be something that would likely happen and we will respond accordingly.”

“We’re now in this position where we’re leading the state effort to help the Trump administration actually enforce the law and actually remove these illegal aliens from not just Florida, but from our country,” added DeSantis. “That’s something that we didn’t have for four years and now that’s something that we’re absolutely on board with making sure happens going forward.”
Williams had previously ordered a halt to construction at the detention facility and had held Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier (R) in civil contempt after he reminded law enforcement that “no judicial order…properly restrains you from” enforcing the law after she’d issued a temporary restraining order against Florida law making it a crime for illegal aliens to enter the Sunshine State.
Despite attempts to block law enforcement in Florida, the governor also reminded that he’d already doubled down on efforts in his state with the announcement of Deportation Depot.
“I would also note that because of the success of Alligator Alcatraz, there’s demand for more. So I did announce that we’re going to be opening another facility right outside of Jacksonville in Baker County,” he said during Friday’s press conference. “We’ve called that the ‘Deportation Depot.’ So that is something, will be able to hold another 2,000, and there’s an airport close by. So you have the processing and the removal.”
Also in attendance was Lt. Gov. Jay Collins (R), who’d made it a priority to personally escort Harminder Singh, the illegal alien charged with three counts of vehicular homicide for allegedly causing a fatal accident with an unlawful U-turn on the Florida Turnpike, back from California to Florida.
“He thought he could run,” posted Collins on X while sharing a video leading Singh off the airplane Thursday. “@GovRonDeSantis and I brought him back to face justice.”
