Earlier this evening, MPs voted to decriminalise women who have abortions after the legal limit of 24 weeks. The amendment, tabled by Labour MP Tonia Antoniazzi, was backed by a majority of 242 votes. Meanwhile, on Friday (unless it is delayed) MPs are expected to vote on legalising assisted suicide. That vote, if it takes place, is likely to be much closer. Nevertheless, our Parliament – within the space of a few days – is potentially destroying life at its beginning and at its end.
