An inquest into the death of “EastEnders” star Timothy West determined the legendary actor died after suffering a significant traumatic brain injury from a fall.
The legendary star died Nov. 12, 2024 at the age of 90. He was hospitalized for three months after falling and had been transferred to a care home where he was receiving palliative care, the inquest found, according to The Mirror. A care home nurse discovered the actor’s dead body at Wandsworth Common Care Home – Avery Collection. His children, Juliet, Samuel and Joseph had released a statement at the time of his death that noted he died “peacefully in his sleep,” the outlet reported.

Assistant coroner Ellie Oakley issued a statement May 22 saying, “Timothy West had an unwitnessed fall near his home on 11 August 2024 which resulted in a significant traumatic brain injury.”
“It is not possible to determine how the fall happened and there is no evidence of others being involved.”
Oakley continued, “He was treated in hospital for around three months before being discharged to a care home on 5 November 2024 for palliative care.”
“Unfortunately he was not well enough to be discharged to his home despite receiving appropriate care in the care home.”
