The latest survey from the Institute of Directors after the Winter Budget shows bosses’ confidence in their firms’ growth plummeted from -5 points to -20. The lowest level in more than five years…
It also found:
- Revenue expectations fell to -8 (post-Budget), from +7 (pre-Budget). Lowest level since 2020…
- Investment intentions fell to -39, down from -17.
- Export expectations fell to -2, down from +6.
- Headcount expectations fell to -29, down from -8.
Confidence was rock bottom at -73 in the chaotic run up to the Budget. After Reeves/the OBR delivered it, that figure rose by…one point. Going for growth!
