Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa Throws His Team Under Bus Amid Season Spiraling Down Toilet

At least we have the Canes … that’s what I keep telling myself.

It’s been a horrendous season for my beloved Miami Dolphins. *puts on paper bag to write the rest of this blog* We got annihilated by the Indianapolis Colts, lost at home against the New England Patriots for the first time in six seasons, blew what was supposed to be a win over the Buffalo Bills and we got utterly embarrassed in a loss to the Carolina Panthers. It’s been dreadful, especially considering the only win we’ve had all year has been against the sole team more dysfunctional than us (with the exception of maybe the Cleveland Browns) in the New York Jets. The same New York Jets who haven’t won a game all damn season, and even then, we barely beat them. Sigh.

Anyways, in the closing seconds of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, it looked like we were going to win after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a touchdown pass to tight end Darren Waller. At that point, the Dolphins had a 27-26 advantage, and this after trailing, 26-13.

With just seconds left to go in the game, Miami seemed to have it locked up, but this is the Dolphins, man. I’ve been a fan for 34 years (35 in December) and it’s been nothing but heartbreak the entire three and a half decades. So why would anything change now?

And, of course, it didn’t. The Chargers got into field goal range with no problem, 100% stress-free and won the game. It was a joke.

Well, after the game, Tagovailoa (the supposed LEADER of the franchise) completely threw that franchise under the bus, making this season even worse than what it already is.

“I think it starts with the leadership and helping articulate … what we’re expecting,” said Tagovailoa. “We have guys showing up to player online meetings late, guys not showing up to player only meetings … It’s a lot of things of that nature that we’ve got to clean up.”
