Don Lemon and Kathy Griffin agree with Irish Rosie that Trump didn’t win the election fairly, suggest tampering

Questioning elections was in vogue again as a comedian and former CNN host took a “tin foil hat moment” to suggest President Donald Trump’s victory came from “tampering.”

Ever ideologically committed, leftists have refused to believe that it was their worldview and disordered priorities that cost them the 2024 election — even as approval ratings have plummeted. That reality didn’t stop Kathy Griffin from resorting to the decades-old assertion of Democrats when a Republican wins the White House, as she told Don Lemon, “I do not think Trump won in a free and fair election.”

During a Tuesday interview on “The Don Lemon Show” that included tired accusations that a considerable representation of Trump supporters are racist, Griffin prompted, “Are you ready for a tin foil hat moment?”

“I’m Kathy Griffin and I do not think Trump won in a free and fair election,” said the comedian who infamously participated in 2017 photoshoot holding a fake severed head meant to look like the president. “I believe there was tampering … I don’t know if it was the Elon [Musk] connection. I don’t know if it was just a few good old boys in the South who didn’t do —  you know, I mean what they accuse us of.”

Smirking through her claim, Lemon responded, “You’re not far off … I won’t say that I disagree with you. But I’m an evidence person. I’d like to see the evidence. I think something was off, and especially when someone said, oh, we’ve got this. And, you know, how do you know that? How do we know we’ve got this? How do you know, or ‘I don’t need your vote’ or anything like that. It’s a little bit odd.”

“Right? ‘This will be the last election. We won’t have any elections after this,’” added Griffin before Lemon went on, “‘Vote for me, and you won’t have to vote again anymore.’ And also, you know, as you said, every accusation is a confession.”

After years of decrying conservative concerns about election integrity following the 2020 presidential election that had included unprecedented amounts of mail-in voting, the Tuesday claim was hardly a unique position from the left.

Having abandoned the United States to live in Ireland, Griffin’s longtime friend Rosie O’Donnell had expressed in March, “I question why for the first time in American history a president has won every swing state and is also best friends and his largest donor was a man who owns and runs the internet.”

Likewise, the day after Griffin’s interview premiered, the ladies of ABC’s “The View” were discussing the One Big Beautiful Bill when co-host Whoopi Goldberg made note of the recent disagreement between Trump and former Department of Government Efficiency leader Musk.

“If one was going to think, you know, oooo, maybe this happened, you know Elon knows the 411 on everything. He knows how all this came down,” insisted Goldberg. “So now suddenly he’s like, ‘harumph. I’m so angry.”

Co-host Joy Behar added, “Trump should be afraid of him … cause he has the receipts on the election.”
