Don Lemon Goes On Unhinged Rant Accusing GOP Of Gleefully Discussing Charlie Kirk To Avoid Epstein Talk

Former CNN host Don Lemon erratically ranted on “The Don Lemon Show” Monday as he accused Republicans of being thrilled to discuss the assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk instead of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson on Friday, accusing him of murdering Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Lemon suggested during a livestream on his YouTube channel that Republicans were only speaking so passionately about Kirk as a diversion from the Epstein files. (RELATED: After Charlie Kirk Assassination ‘Every One Of Us Has To Look In The Mirror,’ Says Utah Gov Cox)

“They’re using that opportunity to distract from the Epstein files. And that is why you see them doing this, all of them,” Lemon said, apparently doing an impression of Republicans. “‘I can’t believe the liberal left is whatever, Charlie Kirk, and they are evil, and we must eradicate the evil, whatever.’”

Lemon then put a cellphone to his ear and seemingly pretended to be a Republican talking to President Donald Trump, smiling and laughing.

“‘Hi, boss. How did I do? They’re not talking about Epstein right now, right? They’re not talking about Epstein. Oh, my God. They’re so gullible. They’re not talking about Epstein. They’re falling for it.’ You guys know what I’m saying,” he said. “Come on now. Where is the lie?”

The House Oversight Committee published over 33,000 pages of Epstein-related documents on Sept. 2 after obtaining them from the Department of Justice.

Lemon also claimed it was more “important” to discuss Epstein and Trump than Kirk and appeared to complain that the assassination was such a durable news story.

“We’re not talking about the birthday book. We’re not talking about him signing a pubic hair, his name. We’re not talking about any of that stuff, but we’re talking about Charlie Kirk, who’s the story,” he said. “Sorry, most stories, what, the shelf life in this media environment is not even a day. It’s a couple of hours. And we’ve gone on for almost a week with Charlie Kirk.”

Trump allegedly sent a suggestive letter to Epstein to include in his 50th birthday book in 2003. The book was part of the first tranche of documents from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, according to a House Oversight Committee aide.

The Wall Street Journal first reported in a July article that Trump allegedly sent the letter to Epstein. However, the president has denied the reporting and filed a lawsuit over it against Rupert Murdoch, Dow Jones & Company Inc., News Corporation and the two reporters who wrote it.
