President Donald Trump spoke on Wednesday with NBC “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie as authorities continue searching for her missing mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her Arizona home over the weekend, Fox News Digital confirmed.
A White House official confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Trump personally called and spoke with Guthrie. No additional details about the conversation were provided.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen Saturday night at her home in Tucson, Arizona. According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, she was last observed at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Sheriff Chris Nanos said earlier this week that investigators are treating the case as a crime, though authorities have not publicly released specific details about what led to that determination.
“We do, in fact, have a crime,” Nanos said Monday.

A police source previously told Fox News Digital that “blood drops” were discovered leading from the entryway of the home toward the driveway. Law enforcement officials have not elaborated further on that evidence.
As of Wednesday, investigators said no suspect or person of interest has been identified.
“At this point, investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case. Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie,” Nanos said in a statement.
“Detectives are working closely with the Guthrie family. While we appreciate the public’s concern, the sharing of unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation.”
President Trump publicly addressed the situation on Tuesday and confirmed he planned to reach out to Guthrie directly.
“I think it’s terrible,” Trump told reporters. “I’m going to call [Savannah Guthrie] later on. I think it’s a terrible thing. … Very unusual situation, but we’re going to find out.”

The president also indicated Tuesday that federal resources were available to assist local authorities if needed as the search continues.
Trump’s outreach comes despite a contentious history between the two dating back to the 2020 election cycle, when Guthrie moderated a televised town hall with Trump.
During that event, Guthrie accused Trump of “sending a lie” to supporters regarding Osama bin Laden’s death and compared his comments to “someone’s crazy uncle.”
Despite that exchange, Trump said Tuesday that he had no personal animosity toward the NBC host.
“I always got along very good with Savannah,” Trump said from the White House.
As the investigation enters a critical stage, Savannah Guthrie has publicly leaned on her faith and asked for prayers. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Guthrie shared a message seeking support for her family.
“We believe in prayer. We believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him,” Guthrie wrote.
“Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant,” the post continued.
“Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you.”
The search for Nancy Guthrie remains ongoing as authorities continue canvassing for information and following up on leads tied to her disappearance.
