‘Don’t Have To Listen To You’: Gutfeld Blames Democrat Failures For Forcing America Into ‘Intervention’

Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld called out Democrats Monday on “The Five” for the United States having to undergo an “intervention” on issues like illegal immigration.

Democrats have pushed back against various aspects of the Trump administration’s agenda since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, with their latest criticism targeting the administration for cracking down on illegal migrants in the country. While discussing the protests and riots occurring in Democrat sanctuary cities like Los Angeles, Gutfeld said the Biden administration is the root of the issue.

“You can’t have free stuff and no border. I think we can all agree that borders are important,” Gutfeld said. “The problem is we all didn’t agree that borders were important. We just experienced a systematic removal of our border under people who claim to be the Biden administration, though we’re not sure who they are. So now they’re criticizing the process of removal?”

“No, we don’t have to listen to you. I can listen to Harold because, Harold, you talked about the need for a border. But a lot of these people, they didn’t. Now, you know, this attack over process camouflages the rejection of the goal. So now the adults are in charge, and they’re rescuing the country. It’s like Trump boarded a ship and is sealing a gaping hole,” Gutfeld added.

With the deaths of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungary, 22-year-old Laken Riley and 37-year-old Rachel Morin sparking national outrage during 2024, the U.S. southern border crisis became a major issue for voters.

“If we had listened to the people making the biggest noise about deportation and process, we’d have no country left,” Gutfeld said. “This is an intervention. We have to do this. If this border crisis hadn’t happened, this would be a different discussion. But now we’re doing this. It’s dramatic. It’s forceful.”

“But we couldn’t get the Democrats to listen. And now they’re engaged, but they’re not engaged over the victims of illegal aliens or the missing sex traffic kids,” Gutfeld said. “They’re upset that someone won’t wipe their ass. Or, in Jerry Nadler’s case, people won’t wipe their ass.”

Democrats have rallied against President Donald Trump’s agenda to conduct a mass deportation of illegal migrants who crossed into the U.S. during the Biden administration. Adamantly supporting the return of illegal migrants like Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, Democrats have begun to push back against detention centers.

In May, Democrat Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested outside of an immigrant detention facility while attempting to join three Democrat representatives on their oversight tour of the center. However, chaos later broke out. Democrat New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver was charged by federal prosecutors with assaulting law enforcement officers.

Since Trump returned to office, the border has reached historically low levels of activity, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents already detaining over 100,000 illegal migrants in the president’s second term.
