A woman was forcibly removed from a Southwest Airlines flight at LaGuardia Airport in New York early Monday morning following a violent and profane outburst directed at another passenger over her appearance.
The incident delayed a scheduled flight bound for Kansas City and drew immediate response from airline staff and law enforcement.
The 32-year-old female passenger, who has not been publicly identified, reportedly became aggressive after being assigned a seat next to another woman.

Witnesses and video footage captured her repeatedly insulting the other passenger, grabbing her hair, spitting on her, and physically kicking her. The altercation occurred while the aircraft was still on the ground.
The confrontation began when the woman began shouting insults at the seated passenger, complaining about her weight and clothing.
“I didn’t want to sit next to a f**king fat lady,” the woman shouted, while gripping the other passenger’s hair and refusing to let go despite repeated requests from airline staff.
Several passengers and Southwest Airlines employees attempted to de-escalate the situation, including a female staff member who repeatedly asked the woman to release the other passenger’s hair.

The passenger refused, instead responding with insults and laughter, even as she was restrained.
One traveler who witnessed the event told the Daily Mail that the unruly passenger “knocked the glasses off the Southwest employee.”
The witness also described how the woman responded to a call for calm by insulting others on the plane.
“She turned around and called me ugly a few times and that I could never get a boyfriend or have sex,” the passenger said.
The situation escalated further when the woman, still holding onto the other passenger’s hair, began shouting, “You guys are already past the point of no return.”
When staff finally managed to secure her hands behind her back, she continued to yell obscenities and targeted passengers and staff with further insults.
As she was being restrained, she spat directly in the face of the passenger she had been harassing.
Airline personnel used the victim’s hair to block the spit from spreading further. “Miss, please, we’re not doing all that,” one staff member said, to which the woman replied, “Shut the f**k up.”
The woman’s verbal assault also extended to a male passenger seated nearby. “You never got laid in your life,” she shouted, while mocking the man’s appearance and making further vulgar comments.
At one point, she began shouting incoherently, referencing her boyfriend’s race multiple times in an apparent effort to defend herself against perceived accusations.
Eventually, the woman collapsed onto the floor of the aircraft, yelling, “I can’t breathe,” as her hair covered her face.
She continued to curse and kick at airline employees and passengers even as they attempted to assist her.
Southwest Airlines staff were ultimately able to restrain the woman until Port Authority Police arrived at approximately 1:10 a.m.
She was removed from the plane on a gurney and transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

After being medically cleared, she was taken into custody by the New York City Department of Corrections on charges of aggravated assault.
“We commend our Team for their professionalism during the incident,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement.
The airline confirmed the woman was not allowed to reboard the flight.
The identities of the victims involved have not been released, and the status of the criminal case against the woman is pending.
