Elon Musk accuses top Trump aide allegedly behind fall-out of ‘serious crime’

Elon Musk had no qualms about ripping an alleged “snake” in the White House as he accused a top administration official of a “serious crime.”

Since the world’s richest man left his advisory position with President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, a brief public spat appeared to have been swept up in the dustbin of history. However, Musk still seemed to have an eye on rooting out potential corruption in the federal government as he nodded to claims that the director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office is a Russian spy.

“He’s a snake,” wrote the SpaceX CEO in response to The New York Times chief White House correspondent Peter Baker sharing a New York Post article about Sergio Gor.

The Post story cited administration insiders when it reported that Gor had yet to “submit official paperwork about his own background needed for a permanent security clearance,” which included questions such as “where they were born and whether they have any foreign connections.”

A White House official indicated that the completed form had not been submitted and told the Post, “Sergio was distrustful of the FBI, as were many others in the administration. However, to date, he has completed the form and he has an active security clearance.”

Musk had more to say about the matter.

In response to further reporting on Gor, who described himself as having been born in Malta, the billionaire added, “He deliberately lied about where he was born on Federal forms. That’s a serious crime.”

Shortly thereafter, Musk insisted, “Gor is breaking the law,” and added, “*Goryachev” to advance the circulating idea that the director has been working on behalf of Russia from within the administration.

Though it had not confirmed the nation of Gor’s birth, the Post had received word from the Maltese government that the director had not been born there. The only specific he had provided to his place of birth was to tell the newspaper it was not Russia.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the official while chiding the media and stated, “Sergio Gor is a trusted adviser to President Trump and he has played a critical role in helping President Trump staff the most talented administration in history. It’s sad the New York Post is engaging in baseless gossip rather than focusing on how the Trump administration is tackling the issues impacting our country and world.”

Likewise, White House counsel David Warrington had detailed, “Mr. Gor is fully compliant with all applicable ethical and legal obligations. His security clearance is active, any insinuation he doesn’t maintain a clearance is false.”

Following the report on the documents that had yet to be submitted, the Post reiterated reports that Gor was allegedly behind the president’s “falling-out with Musk,” having convinced Trump to withdraw his nomination of Jared Isaacman, the billionaire’s friend, for NASA administrator.
