Even ‘Woke’ Top Cop Neil Basu Supports Public Inquiry into Rape Gangs Scandal

So it’s an interesting pivot that Basu has now backed a full inquiry into the rape gangs scandal. He told the Telegraph:

“I’m conflicted because so many public inquiries become elongated, very messy, incredibly expensive, and by the time they deliver any kind of conclusion, it’s gone out of people’s minds. But Rotherham, for me, is a bit like Hillsborough. I don’t think it will ever go out of people’s minds. So until you uncover the actual truth and you lay it bare, it will always be there. So this is one of those occasions where I think, yes, this really should happen.”

Rupert Lowe’s crowdfunder for his Rape Gang Inquiry stands at an impressive half a million pounds with 25 days left to raise. Reform’s counter-inquiry is yet to materialise; the Government sparked fury after it scrapped pilot local grooming gang inquiries, sneaking out the news just before recess.
