Ray Romano and the cast of “Everybody Loves Raymond” scored sky-high ratings with their reunion show Nov. 24.
“Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion” averaged approximately 6.32 million viewers, making it the primetime entertainment special with the most views this season, Variety reported, citing Nielson ratings. In fact, viewers still love Raymond so much CBS scheduled an encore airing of the special Nov. 28.
Nielsen ratings indicated the reunion show was CBS’ most-viewed special since the 77th Emmy Awards in September drew in approximately 7.59 million, according to Variety..
The live+same day ratings came in higher than any of the season’s primetime non-sports program aside from “60 Minutes,” “Tracker,” “Dancing With the Stars” and ‘Matlock.” It performed better than “Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic,” which raked in 3.04 million viewers in December 2023.
Ray Romano himself hosted the 90-minute special alongside Phil Rosenthal.
Romano and Rosenthal shared their perspective on the production of “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Madylin Sweeten, Monica Horan and others highlighted the show with behind the scenes tales and fun facts while commemorating 30 years of the series.
In true fashion, the close-knit cast came together to pay tribute to the late costars that were not with them for the special, according to Entertainment Weekly. (RELATED: ‘They Wouldn’t Do That Today’: Macaulay Culkin Claims He Was Put In Dangerous Situation On Movie Set)
