Fox News host Harris Faulkner told the Daily Caller News Foundation she believes there is more information to be uncovered in the developing story about the physical and mental decline of former President Joe Biden.
Biden’s health issues and cognitive decline during his term in office have been detailed in books that have been published since the 2024 presidential election, with one book, “Original Sin,” by CNN host Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson, reporting that Biden failed to recognize Academy Award-winning actor George Clooney, a long-time supporter at a 2024 fundraiser. Faulkner told the DCNF during an interview that she felt many reporters should be probing into the reported use of an autopen, a mechanical device that can replicate a stored signature, during Biden’s presidency, a clue that could help uncover who was running the executive branch when Biden was “deficient.” (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Meet Harris Faulkner, The Fox News Host Who Is Bearing Down On ‘The View’ In Ratings Duel)
“I think the story’s not over yet,” Faulkner told the DCNF. “But find Alex Thompson from Axios. Go find out who was running the country. Go find out who was complicit in those moments, like, that’s what I want to know now.”

“You think there’s that many stupid people in the [White House] press corps? I don’t believe them,” Faulkner told the DCNF when asked about the comments. “They knew. They saw it. They saw the same thing we saw, they saw it in real time, contemporaneously with the falling and the bumbling and the calling people things that he said he didn’t mean, and then probably might not have even remembered saying, I don’t know, but what I do know is there was no accountability for the times in which he totally looked deficient, and we knew that he had met with world leaders on some of those days, that was my concern.”
“Where is the accountability on those days when he’s not having a great one, you know?” Faulkner continued. “And look, anybody can fall, I get that. But this was on a rather staccato roll. This was getting worse.”
The Wall Street Journal published several articles about President Biden’s declining mental acuity prior to his announcement on July 21, 2024, that he would not seek reelection. Despite multiple sources confirming the reports, these articles faced pushback from other media outlets and Democrats. On Dec. 19, 2024, the Journal revealed that White House aides had “insulated” Biden, even from his Cabinet members, as his health and mental capacity continued to deteriorate.
“Why didn’t they press the White House on it? Why didn’t they press the administration agencies who were with him on a [G7] summit?” Faulkner asked about the decline. “You know, where he’s wandering off, they’re getting ready for the for the big summit picture and thing, and wait, he’s wandering off into the jungle and if you remember what this was like, he couldn’t stand still long enough to take a group photo with other world leaders, where he didn’t stand still. He was standing in the wrong place. We don’t know but, but nobody from the legacy media would press.”
On multiple occasions, Biden said he spoke with people who had died, including claiming to have spoken with former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who died in 2017, and former French President Francois Mitterrand, who passed away in 1996, on two occasions in February 2024.
“And so when Alex Thompson said this… at the White House Correspondents Dinner , when I read what he said and then watched the actual clip of what it was, I did not, I was not able to attend this year, we were shooting our episodes of ‘America’s Most Wanted: Missing Persons’ through those days that weekend, but when he said, you know, that they had missed it or they should have done a better job, what I was thinking is, well, at least he was trying because he was writing about some of it,” Faulkner told the DCNF. “But even when other journalists, I get that, they maybe don’t like Fox or whatever, the legacy liberal media, but even when other journalists were flagging, they didn’t want to pay attention to that, so they were complicit in a cover up.” (RELATED: Harris Faulkner Tells Dem Point-Blank She Doubts He Was ‘Snookered’ By Biden Aides Over President’s Declining Health)
Since Faulkner sat for this interview with the DCNF, Biden announced he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that metastasized to the bone. Prostate cancer that has spread to the bone is usually considered Stage 4B cancer with a survival rate of 37% over five years from diagnosis, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Faulkner told the DCNF that her sense that something was wrong with Biden did not come from one single moment, instead describing it as a “drumbeat” from covering the president on a daily basis.
“I covered him every day… we would tape his speeches, and I would say during the primary season, he would just get a little lost in his comments. It really was a drumbeat for me,” Faulkner told the DCNF. “I know a lot of people can point well when he fell at the [Air Force] Academy event on the sandbag, and you can point to all this that when he fell off his bicycle that was going like one mile per hour, and he said his feet were caught in the stirrups and then we later learned that maybe those pedals didn’t have stirrups.”
“I mean, we never really could get a straight answer out of anybody around them, really, truly at the time things were happening,” Faulkner continued. “But for me, it was a drumbeat, and that was the most disturbing part. [I] was looking at something unfold almost in slow motion, and being able to see, is anybody really looking out for him?”

Faulkner recounted watching Biden struggle to put on a jacket as he was departing from Marine One and needing help from first lady Jill Biden during her interview with the DCNF.
“He was like, flailing in the wind,” Faulkner said. “His sunglasses fall down. He’s trying to pick up his glasses. He can’t quite, I don’t know if you’ve seen this video, but it goes on for him, and it’s the cameras are all I mean, it’s everywhere. You can see it all over social media. The cameras are all focused on him, because he was coming back and I don’t remember where it’s coming from, but he’s coming off of Marine one, and he’s just can’t get jacket on, and it’s windy and it’s and it’s just going on and on and on and on, and you’re thinking, the Secret Service is seeing this. Everybody’s seeing this.”
“Everybody must have known something wasn’t right,” Faulkner continued. “That stands out in my mind as just one example of things that I was noticing where he needs help. He just needs a little help. So who’s doing the job when he’s not able to do it?” (RELATED: ‘In The Tank For The Democrats’: Dem Attorney Accuses Corporate Press Of Participating In Biden Cover-Up)
Biden started using a different set of stairs onto the VC-25, a modified Boeing 747 used as Air Force One as a concession to his age in the later years of his administration following multiple instances where he Biden apparently tripped on the steps of Air Force One. Biden also suffered falls during his term in office, including one at the Air Force Academy in June 2023, and another fall while on his bike in June 2022.
Biden asked for Republican Rep. Jackie Walorski of Indiana during a September 2022 White House event on hunger that took place several weeks after Walorski and two staffers were killed in a car accident while in her district.
