Face Of Both NBA And WNBA Are White Players, And ESPN Is Already Stirring Up The Pot

Caitlin Clark conquered the WNBA, and now Cooper Flagg is doing the same thing with the NBA.

Since 1977, there hasn’t been an American-born white basketball player drafted No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft, with Kent Benson being the individual to hold that mark. However, Duke phenom Cooper Flagg has completely changed that history. And not just that, but he also has the most popularity that an American white male hooper has seen since the legendary Larry Bird.

With the word “white” popping up so much in the conversation, you better believe ESPN is all over the topic, and trying to create the same kind of racial drama that we’ve seen with Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark. (RELATED: Because Of Course ESPN Embarrassed Themselves During NBA Draft)

Peter Rosenberg, a contributor for ESPN who has found his way in each the realms of Hip Hop, sports and professional wrestling for reasons that I still don’t understand, was on the four-letter network Friday and pretty much accused American sports fans of only having interest in Flagg due to his skin color.

“Cooper Flagg is a white guy, maybe the best white American prospect since Larry Bird. Let’s not act as if we don’t live in America and we’re not seeing what’s happening with Caitlin Clark in the WNBA,” said Rosenberg during “First Take” on ESPN.

“If he’s nearly as good as people expect… no one’s going to be more intriguing or get more eyeballs than what Cooper Flagg’s doing in Dallas.”

You can watch the video of Rosenberg’s comments here.

That is crazy though how both faces of the NBA and WNBA are white … I never thought I’d see something like that in my life.
