Only in Australia, baby.
Taking place in the Oceania nation, a mother and son ended up coming across one of the most violent and deadly birds in the world. Luckily for them, they survived the close call and even caught the scene on their Ring doorbell camera.
Per a report from the New York Post, the family crossed paths with a couple of cassowaries in Mission Beach, Queensland. (RELATED: North Pole Woman Lands Massive Halibut That Gets Her Major Payday — There’s Just One Problem)
If you’re not aware of what a cassowary is, it has the reputation for being an incredibly dangerous bird, and this is because of their ability to issue power kicks using their legs. And to make it even crazier, on the end of their legs, they have very, very sharp claws. They’re one of the few birds on the planet that has the capability to kill a human, and have before.
Luckily, mom and son were able to escape the birds and get inside their home. But this is a reminder of how crazy Australian wildlife can be.
