Family Sues Delta After Employee Allegedly Uploads Explicit Videos of Himself to Child’s iPad

A South Carolina family has filed a lawsuit against Delta Air Lines, alleging that a worker stole their child’s lost iPad and uploaded explicit videos of himself while wearing a Delta uniform, as reported by The New York Post.

Tory and Brooke Brewer were traveling with their two children from South Carolina to London in July 2023. During a layover at New York’s JFK Airport, one of their children left behind an iPad in a pink Peppa Pig case on the Delta aircraft.

The family reported the device missing the following day using Delta’s lost-and-found system, according to the legal filing.

Weeks later, the Brewers began receiving unexpected alerts and data from the device. Using Apple’s “Find My” app, they tracked the iPad to Jamaica, Queens—near JFK Airport.

Soon after, photos began syncing to Tory Brewer’s iCloud account. The images reportedly showed a man in a Delta uniform and name badge, according to court documents reviewed by media outlets.

Roughly a month after the iPad went missing, the family alleges they began receiving pornographic content featuring the same individual.

The lawsuit claims the man recorded and uploaded videos of himself engaging in explicit acts while still in uniform and identifiable by his Delta name badge.

The family also discovered the device had been used to access their iTunes account and create a new profile. In addition, someone allegedly logged into their Amazon account and created a new user profile labeled “Gay.”

That profile was reportedly first seen by one of the Brewers’ children, according to the complaint.

Despite multiple follow-up attempts with Delta, the Brewers state that the only communication they received was an automated “no reply” message acknowledging their original lost item report.

The family is now suing Delta for negligence, harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and sexual assault. They are seeking damages and accountability, alleging the airline failed to act on serious concerns involving their child’s lost device.

In a statement to the press, a Delta Air Lines spokesperson confirmed the company is aware of the lawsuit. However, they claimed the accused individual is not a Delta employee but a staff member from a third-party vendor.

The airline stated it has “zero tolerance for unlawful behavior” but declined to comment further, citing the pending litigation.
