A fan who was recently in attendance at a Major League Soccer game was kicked out for wearing a Donald Trump hat, according to footage that was recorded by the fan himself and then published on social media.
Identifying as Michael Weitzel while speaking on video, the fan was sporting a “Make America Great Again” hat while at Energizer Park, which is the home stadium of St. Louis City SC.
“I am Michael Weitzel and I have been asked to leave because of the Donald Trump hat,” said the fan while speaking with police officers and security personnel. (RELATED: West Virginia’s Rich Rodriguez Blasts Society As ‘Soft,’ And He’s Not Wrong)
One member of the stadium‘s security told the man that “they’re non-political here … they don’t want any kind of political” material.
Weitzel issued a response by pointing at other fans that were flying flags and saying that their items were politically-related, with security saying that “those were pre-approved.”

Energizer Park rules state banners that are politically-connected are banned from being displayed, however, hats aren’t mentioned.
It was then questioned by Weitzel whether he was getting treated fairly with the stadium‘s policies. Following security telling him about the situation being enforced equally, Weitzel stated that he was “being threatened with arrest” prior to confirming that he was “being evicted from the premises.”
While heading towards the concourse, Weitzel said, “Trump is not welcome in St. Louis City SC Club.”
