Fmr Border Chief Says Some ‘Children That Disappeared’ During Biden Era Found At Place Not Fit For Children

Border Patrol Chief for California’s El Centro sector Gregory Bovino said Friday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that some of the children found during U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE’s) raid in California are part of the 300,000 migrant children who went missing under the Biden administration.

On Thursday, ICE took over a marijuana farm in Southern California, executing a search warrant, with officials rescuing 10 juvenile illegal migrants, eight of whom were unaccompanied. While discussing the rioting and chaos that ensued during the raid, Fox’s Laura Ingraham asked Bovino what is known so far about the children, as U.S. Customs and Border Protection has released images of the juveniles. “The juveniles that you see in that picture, several of them are not sponsored. Several came across the border, at least under the research that we found a few years ago, and they disappeared. You talked about the children that disappear,” Bovino said. “These are those children that have disappeared, the 300,000 children that have disappeared. You’re seeing it real time right here.”

“This is what is happening to some of those children. I believe one of the children may have been, at least at this point in the investigation, accompanied, but the rest that you see in that picture were unaccompanied juveniles, including that 14-year-old,” Bovino added. “What happens to these children? Where do they live? And what conditions are they put under, both at work and then when they’re not working? A lot of questions here.”

WATCH:

In July 2024, whistleblowers like Tara Rodas came forward to lawmakers to testify against Biden’s HHS, calling attention to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and their concerns over the vetting of sponsors for migrant children.

By September 2024, Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General released its August report that said ICE could not “monitor all unaccompanied migrant children” released from DHS and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ custody while the U.S. struggled with its border crisis.

With an estimated 300,000 migrant children believed to be missing, experts and whistleblowers again spoke with lawmakers about concerns that the children could be victims of forced labor, sex trafficking or possibly killed.

“This is something that the Border Patrol has seen over the past four years, when millions streamed across that border. Let me say that again.,” Bovino said. “Millions streamed across that border, including children. Some of the things that we saw on the border were truly reprehensible.”

The Trump administration has cracked down on illegal migrants, while ICE has ramped up its raids throughout the U.S.

Focusing on major blue cities that have harbored a large portion of illegal migrants —especially during the Biden administration’s border crisis — ICE received pushback from local protesters and rioters.  During their raid on Thursday, officials said in a press release that “more than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations” and “one violent agitator fired a gun at law enforcement officers.”

The FBI has now issued a $50,000 reward “for any information leading to the arrest of this violent rioter” who fired at officials.

Homan said Friday on Fox News that border officials have rescued an estimated 10,000 children of the roughly 300,000 believed to still be unaccompanied.
