Footage of screaming sex-trafficked victim being dragged by illegal migrant captor goes viral

Investigators in Houston believe the arrest of an illegal alien seen on video dragging a fleeing victim back into captivity might be just part of a larger sex trafficking operation.

The latest example of an alleged “heinous criminal illegal alien” allowed to roam free in the United States during the Biden administration was taken into custody thanks in part to a neighbor’s response. After a surveillance camera caught a victim fleeing captivity, authorities learned she’d been held for days without food or water by a Honduran national now facing charges of aggravated kidnapping and assault.

Video provided by the neighbor who’d contacted law enforcement showed as a man, said to be 22-year-old Jose Armando Carcamo-Perdomo, hauls a kicking and screaming 44-year-old Chinese woman who had been attempting to escape.

“She tried to leave, but this defendant carried her back inside the residence without her consent. He tied her up and then sexually assaulted her,” said a Harris County judge, according to KTRK. “She was not allowed to leave that room for five or more days without food or water.”

Following the July 14 arrest, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the victim had left New York for Houston with the promise of a better salary in the massage industry. Instead, it was detailed that her passport was taken and she was locked in a closet.

“As soon as I drove out of the fence at work, I called 911 to report a possible child abduction,” the neighbor told KTRK. “But especially being right next door, you know. I’m angry with myself that I didn’t pick up on it sooner or maybe done more, even though like I said I had that feeling that something wasn’t right, but who knows it could have made a bigger difference with other people maybe, other victims.”

“There was a small closet with a piece of wood across the door that was screwed into the frame,” HCSO Lt. John Klafka, chief of the adult special crimes unit explained to Fox News. “They were able to rip that piece of wood off and open the door. it had been tied up. She had some type of object like a sock or something that was used to bound her hands.”

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in 2023 an immigration judge dismissed Carcamo-Perdomo’s case after he’d been issued a notice to appear at court for a traffic stop near Falfurrias, Texas in Nov. 2020, only a few months after illegally entering the United States in May near Hidalgo, Texas.

A statement from the Department of Homeland Security that was accompanied by the surveillance video read, “This heinous criminal illegal alien was freely roaming our interior and terrorizing American communities. Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE is working day and night to remove the MILLIONS of illegal aliens in our interior.”

“LAW AND ORDER WILL PREVAIL!” the statement added.

As for the suspect being held on $150,000 bond, Klafka had told Click 2 Houston that he denied having anything to do with the woman, “He knew there was someone in the house, but he claimed to have never seen her or said it was a woman the lived there but didn’t know her, didn’t see her, has never had any interactions with her.”

Likewise, a statement from the suspect’s attorney said the illegal alien “is shocked by the serious allegations brought forth against him and firmly maintains his complete innocence. He fully expects that the evidence will ultimately clear his name.”
