An Emmy Award-winning journalist who used to be viciously anti-Trump admitted during a White House roundtable discussion on Wednesday that she’s since fully recovered from her Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).
“I was told by probably a dozen people not to tell you this — I’m living proof that you can recover from TDS,” former Seattle station KIRO reporter turned independent journalist Brandi Kruse said directly to President Donald Trump.
“I had strong Trump Derangement Syndrome for probably eight years. This is one of the reasons I recovered from it. By the way, it’s much better to not have TDS. I’m happier, I’m healthier, more successful. I even think I got a little more attractive after I got rid of my Trump derangement syndrome!” she added.
By “this,” she meant the topic of the White House roundtable discussion: Left-wing Antifa extremists:
Earlier in the discussion, Kruse said how “fired up” she felt finally being able to talk to a person in “a position of authority” about the Antifa extremists she’s been covering for 15 years.
“I think the single most important thing you’ve done with this scourge is acknowledging that Antifa is a real thing,” she said to Trump.
“I generally believe that there would be people at these tables who would be dead today and would have been killed in Portland had you not called them a terror organization and said we are going to bring the full weight of the federal government to bear,” she continued.
She explained that the Antifa extremists in Portland “haven’t been as quick to violence since you made that designation” because “they don’t want to go to federal prison.”
Make no mistake: Antifa is a radical terrorist organization that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the U.S. Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.
Under the Trump Administration, Antifa’s days are over.

Kruse also ripped the mainstream establishment press a new one for continually denying the existence of Antifa despite thousands of videos documenting their violence.
“I’m a reporter in Seattle, and frankly, I could not care any less what any of you have to say about this meeting,” she bluntly told them. “We’re not here for you.”
“I’m not here to convince you that Antifa is a real thing, because if you have not come to that conclusion by now, you are never going to come to that conclusion because you don’t want to see it. And you’re going to say it’s just a bunch of right-wing conservative influencers who are spinning a tale,” she added.
She continued by pointing out that she used to be as ignorant and close-minded as they.
“I was one of you,” she said. “I was a mainstream reporter in Seattle for 10 years. I was a TV reporter on the streets doing my job, and I was still assaulted by Antifa. It’s not about being conservative. It’s about people who go there and show what they’re doing.”
“When I saw, after all those years, that the media wouldn’t be honest about what was happening, that Democratic politicians wouldn’t be honest about what was happening, I thought, ‘Well, gosh, if they’re not being honest about that, maybe they’re not being honest about President Trump either.’ It opened my mind to just looking at things for what they were,” she concluded in telling Trump.
These days, Kruse hosts her own podcast:

Also featured at the roundtable was intrepid journalist Andy Ngo, who too has been documenting Antifa extremists for years, and who during the hearing recounted being attacked by Antifa extremists in 2019.
“I’ve been assaulted by them multiple times, but the most well known one was in 2019, because in addition to being surrounded and mobbed and beaten on my head just in the course of reporting on a public so-called demonstration in downtown Portland, they then dumped all the drinks on me, and, I was bleeding out of my eyes and ear and was rushed to the hospital in the ambulance and was diagnosed with a sub arachnoid brain hemorrhage, which is bleeding in the brain,” he said.
