In the words of Justin Timberlake… “CRY ME A RIVER!”
ESPN is airing the last “Around the Horn” episode Friday, and while the end is approaching, host Tony Reali has been complaining that he “doesn’t understand” ESPN‘s move to nix the program.
Sarah Spain, a former ESPN employee and ex-“Around the Horn” panelist, believes that wokeness is the culprit. (RELATED: ‘Slap In The Face’: Aaron Rodgers Blasts Transgender Movement As ‘Anti-Woman’)
“It confounds me that they are canceling it,” said Spain to the Washington Post. “The format allows for a continuous stream of new people, to highlight reporters on your network. I’m admittedly biased, but this is progressive voices and people of color you’re taking off TV. I don’t know for sure that’s their intention, but are you so scared of getting called ‘woke’?”
“Around the Horn” hasn’t been good since I was in high school … I’m 34 now … something had to change.
😭♥️
I hope you find yourself talking about your colleagues & your work this way. I have. So many times. I hope the joy of it all brings you to tears like it has for many of us the past few weeks. If you’re looking back in anger, bitter, then you did it wrong. And that’s on you. https://t.co/bM4Lj9Pcla

Now I’m not gonna fully hate on Sarah Spain. In a world where a ton of women just want to be an OnlyFans porn star or leech on to some rich old guy, Spain is out here doing her thing in sports journalism. That I give her credit for.
Everything else though … especially her political views and “Around the Horn” getting canned … HAHAHAHAHAHA!
