Former NFL Star Wanted for Attempted Murder in Miami Shooting [WATCH]

Antonio Brown, the former NFL wide receiver, is the subject of an arrest warrant in Miami-Dade County on an attempted murder charge tied to a shooting that took place last month, as reported by The New York Post.

The warrant, signed Wednesday, charges Brown with attempted murder using a firearm in connection to a May 16 incident outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood.

The Miami-Dade state attorney’s office confirmed the warrant’s existence but declined further comment, stating only, “The warrant speaks for itself.”

The Washington Post first reported the warrant on Thursday. According to the document, Brown is accused of shooting at another individual following a brawl outside the Brand Risk boxing event hosted by influencer Adin Ross.

Police said Brown must post a $10,000 bond and be placed under house arrest if taken into custody.

The confrontation reportedly began just after midnight. Video circulating on social media shows Brown in a physical altercation with several men.

He is seen kicking someone on the ground, and shortly after, two gunshots are heard. Another clip shows Brown in handcuffs being led away by officers, though he was released a few hours later.

Witnesses at the scene identified Brown as the shooter, according to the warrant, though no firearm was recovered from him at the time of the arrest. Police did recover two spent shell casings and an empty gun holster.

Miami police detectives reviewed surveillance and cellphone video that allegedly shows Brown punching another man before grabbing a security guard’s firearm and approaching the same person. The footage reportedly captures the sound of gunshots as Brown nears the victim.

The victim told police that after the initial fight ended, Brown ran toward him “with a firearm.” The victim also stated that he had known Brown since 2022 and was able to identify him in the surveillance footage.

Brown, who played 12 seasons in the NFL — including nine with the Pittsburgh Steelers — has been involved in numerous off-field controversies.

His career also included brief stints with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the latter of which released him during a 2022 game after he removed his jersey and exited the field mid-play.

Since leaving the league, Brown has faced a series of legal troubles. These include a battery charge related to a 2022 domestic incident and allegations of inappropriate behavior toward a woman at a Dubai hotel.

In February 2025, Brown drew further scrutiny after posting a semi-nude image of singer Keyshia Cole on his X account.

As of Thursday night, Brown had not responded to outreach from The Post regarding the warrant.
