Fox’s ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ Makes Classy Move To Honor Lee Corso As He Prepares For Final Headgear Pick: REPORT

This is so cool … shoutout to Fox.

Saturday will be the day when college football legend Lee Corso makes the last headgear selection of his career, doing so as the entire college football realm (including myself) will be glued to ESPN’s “College GameDay” at that moment.

Well, the situation just got elevated, as television giant Fox has made an absolutely classy move to honor the legend. (RELATED: UCF Fan Annihilated By Security After Dashing On Field During Storm Delay)

Per a report from Brett McMurphy of On3, Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff” will be airing the final headgear pick from Corso. And with the show being televised from Ohio Stadium during its last segment, their plan is to broadcast the selection while it’s on the Jumbotron instead of using the camera feed from ESPN.

With Fox having the rights for the powerhouse matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State, and Corso making the selection for that game, it should be quite the scene. Especially when you consider that over 100,000 fans will be in attendance for the contest.

I gotta give Fox a lot of credit, it’s something that I never could picture ESPN doing if they were in the same boat. Sometimes you just gotta put ratings and filling pockets aside for special moments like this. Fox gets that, and kudos to them for it.

They’ll definitely have me as a part of their ratings Saturday.
