Ghislaine Maxwell recalls seeing late Harvard provost in bathrobe after ‘massage’

Daily Caller News Foundation

Convicted sex trafficker and Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell recalled Harvard University’s provost talking about getting a “massage” while spending time in Epstein’s social circle, a July transcript shows.

Maxwell described the encounter with the late Henry Rosovsky, who reportedly knew Epstein starting in 1991, in a July 24 interview with U.S. attorneys that the Department of Justice (DOJ) published Friday. The anecdote came in response to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche asking Maxwell about any “prominent individuals” receiving massages from young women in the 1990s while mingling with Epstein, who was known to use his female masseuses for sexual pleasure.

“I saw him in a bathrobe at 71st Street, and he had received a massage, he told me,” Maxwell said of Rosovsky, according to the transcript.

“And do you know … whether the masseuse was naked during that massage?” Blanche asked her.

“I wouldn’t have any idea,” Maxwell said, adding, “I doubt it. He was like in his 80s.”

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for procuring numerous women for abuse at the hands of Epstein, including some who gave him sexual massages, according to witness testimony from her trial.

Epstein was introduced to Rosovsky in 1991 through Leslie Wexner, one of the late sex offender’s financial clients, the Harvard Crimson reported. Harvard named its Hillel building, Rosovsky Hall, after the former provost, who died in 2022. Rosovsky attended several discussions in Epstein’s Cambridge, Mass. office after meeting him, the paper reported.

Rosovsky Hall formerly contained a plaque in Epstein’s honor that listed him as a donor, but it was removed following the controversy. The Harvard Hillel chapter said in 2019 that Epstein merely “facilitated” Wexner’s donation for the creation of the building, according to the Harvard Crimson.

Blanche announced July 22 that the DOJ would interview Maxwell to uncover “all credible evidence” on Epstein’s activities in alignment with President Donald Trump’s wishes.

“Nothing removed. Nothing hidden,” Blanche said on Friday regarding the new transcript, which he said has no redacted information other than Epstein victims’ names.
