And now we know.
Brandel Chamblee, an analyst for the Golf Channel, recently got the opportunity of a lifetime when he played a round of golf with President Donald Trump. He ended up being quite impressed with the president’s skills.
An former PGA Tour winner, Chamblee is one of the most credible voices in golf, and he has no problem being blunt about how he feels about something. This includes Trump’s golf game — specifically his swing — where Chamblee said 47 knows how to launch the ball. (RELATED: Trump Gives His Reaction To Rory McIlroy’s Classic Victory In Masters)
During a recent appearance on “The Skip Bayless Show,” Chamblee mainly talked about the potential merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. Bayless, however, mentioned Chamblee choppin’ it up with Trump, and that’s what led Chamblee to give us special insight into 47’s game.
“President Trump smokes it, hits it on a line,” Chamblee said before he compared the president’s swing to that of Bruce Lietze, who won 13 times on the PGA Tour. “He absolutely drives the eyes out of it. He’s not the best chipper, not the best putter, but drives the eyes out of it and hits a lot of great iron shots and loves, absolutely loves golf.”
