GOP Wins Crucial, Expensive Race. You Would Think Democrats Came Out Ahead By Reading Rest Of Media

Democrats were on a hot streak up until Tuesday night. November victories in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City gave them renewed confidence that they could pull off a takeover of the House and Senate in 2026, despite voters still not trusting their party. Blue wave momentum was building.

Then, the results trickled in for Tennessee’s special election in the state’s 7th congressional district, which encompasses the city of Nashville. Their blue wave energy was thwarted — for now, at least. But if you read most media outlets Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, you would notice a trend. The narrative that Democrats were still the real victors of the race was quickly cobbled together in a matter of hours. It was a breathtaking display of media spin.
