Needless to say, New Yorkers aren’t fans of Kathy Hochul.
The governor of New York was booed a whopping four different times during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ryder Cup, which took place Wednesday on Long Island. Hell, host Carson Daly even tried to crack a joke in an attempt to get fans to stop. Yeah, didn’t work.
Per footage from social media, golf fans who were in attendance at the opening ceremony prior to the United States’ squareoff against Europe absolutely erupted on the Democratic governor as she walked across the Bethpage State Park stage in Farmingdale. “You’re the worst,” said one person in attendance.
While Hochul was exiting the stage, Daly reportedly said, “That went well.”
And that was just one time, she got booed on three other occasions … let’s get to the goodies.

To make the situation even crazier, Hochul‘s office actually felt the need to release a statement to the New York Post about the whole thing.
“Governor Hochul is proud to bring three elite golf tournaments to New York over the next decade,” said a spokesperson.
“The Governor remains committed to ensuring a world-class experience for the more than 250,000 spectators who will enjoy Bethpage State Park and all the region has to offer in the years ahead.”
And we thought Andrew Cuomo was bad … LMAO.
