Gregg Jarrett Identifies Who Could Be ‘At Greatest Risk Of Legal Jeopardy’ Over Russiagate

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett said Monday on “Hannity” that several former Obama administration intelligence officials and former President Barack Obama could all be at the “greatest risk of legal jeopardy” over their alleged roles in the Russiagate scandal.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday opened a grand jury investigation into the alleged conspiracy by Obama intelligence officials in the 2016 Russia collusion hoax, following a referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, according to Fox News. Discussing the DOJ’s involvement, Fox’s Sean Hannity asked what the investigation could mean for Obama, former FBI Director James Comey, former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former special prosecutor Jack Smith. “Well, let’s take Hillary [Clinton] for example. In a conspiracy case, she would be a potential target because the genesis of the collusion hoax was Hillary who approved the scheme to smear Trump,” Hannity said. “You’ll find it in the newly declassified Durham annex several days ago, but it’s also corroborated in Brennan’s handwritten notes in July and August of 2016.”

Reports of Comey and Brennan being placed under criminal investigation by the FBI, allegedly for potential wrongdoing regarding the infamous Steele dossier, broke on July 8, according to Fox News Digital. The probe followed current CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s declassification of a “lessons learned” review of the creation of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), revealing Brennan’s push to include the Steele dossier in the 2017 ICA despite warnings.

Shortly after, Gabbard announced the first wave of new intelligence on the Russia investigation, declassifying a file containing documents that further alleged how former Obama intelligence officials used the Russia case against Trump during his first administration.

“Brennan actually made a referral to the FBI to investigate Clinton for what she did. Comey wouldn’t do it, having already, you know, without authority cleared Hillary in her email scandal. Instead Comey launched an investigation of Trump, not Clinton, and he did so without a shred of credible evidence. The Hillary-funded dossier was total garbage,” Jarrett added. “He knew it, everybody knew it, but the FBI used it as a pretext to prosecute Trump.”

“Along the way, of course, they deceived the FISA court to gain warrants, then they alter the intelligence assessment to support the collusion narrative and left it up to the media to vilify Trump. Ever since then, it’s been covered up,” Jarrett said. “So the people you mentioned, I think they’re at the greatest risk of legal jeopardy here.”

Gabbard initially released information on the 2016 scandal accusing President Donald Trump’s first campaign of colluding with Russia to sway the election in his favor. More details have since emerged.

On Wednesday, FBI Director Kash Patel said he found “burn bags” containing thousands of documents tied to discrediting the Trump-Russia hoax. According to Fox News, one of the items included a classified annex to special counsel John Durham’s final report.

In addition to referring Obama-era officials to the DOJ, Gabbard publicly announced on July 23 that she would refer Obama to the DOJ for criminal charges.
