Halle Berry silenced Liberals that were hoping for a female James Bond with one swift swipe.
The famous actress addressed the matter at Tuesday’s press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, and made it clear that she doesn’t support the idea. Variety asked Berry if she would be open to revisiting a spinoff involving her character Jinx, or if she would be willing to take on the role of the female spy on her own. “I don’t know if 007 really should be a woman,” said.
Halle Berry: “I don’t know if [James Bond] should be a woman. In 2025 it’s nice to say, ‘Oh, he should be a woman.’ But I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do.” #Canneshttps://t.co/8HVaAgMu1t pic.twitter.com/KIwCR0CPDP

Berry continued, “I mean – you know – in 2025 it’s nice to say ‘oh she should be a woman’ but I don’t really know if I think that’s the right thing to do.”
She elaborated further, and indicated there may have been a time and place for this conversation, but she believes it has since expired.
“No, I doubt there’ll be a Jinx spin off, there was a time that that could have happened. Probably should have happened. I would have loved for that to happen, but I think that time has passed,” she said.
