Hank Johnson Doesn’t Even Bother Tuning His Guitar Before Belting Out Cringe Anti-Trump Anthem

Democratic Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson seemed to not bother tuning his new guitar before playing a cringe anti-President Donald Trump anthem Wednesday.

Johnson said that after acquiring a new guitar and having some thoughts about the current atmosphere of The United States he felt compelled to play a song similar to the 1960s “Hey Joe” by Billy Roberts. The song criticized Trump for destroying American democracy. (RELATED: At Anti-Trump Rally, Former NIH Director Sings The Same Way He Practices Science)

“June is Black Music Month. This year, I decided to come back with another jam session for you all. Here is my rendition of “Hey Joe” by the Godfather of Rock, Jimi Hendrix,” Johnson said in a post to X on Wednesday.

“I’m compelled with a new guitar and some thoughts about that old song ‘Hey Joe’ to give some commentary on where we are now,” he said prior to singing.

“Hey Trump where you going with that gun in your hand? Hey Trump where you going with that gun in your hand? I’m going down the street to shoot down democracy. You know I want to be a king some day. I’m going down and shoot democracy down. You know I want to be the king some day. Hey Donald Trump, we won’t let you take our democracy down, take it down to the ground. Hey Trump, we won’t let you take our democracy down, burn it down to the ground,” Johnson’s song went.

“Is this guy retarded? Like, actually retarded?” one comment said.

“What prompted you to embarrass yourself in this way?” said another.

The comments grilled Johnson for not knowing how to play the guitar.
