Harris releasing book called ‘107 Days’ … of word salad?

Former Vice President Kamala Harris released a video teaser of an upcoming book following her announcement that she would not run for governor of California in 2026.

Though it remains to be seen if anyone will be lining up to buy the upcoming memoir, the failed Democratic presidential nominee announced Thursday that the book, titled “107 Days,” will focus on her short-lived campaign against President Donald Trump.

“What the world saw on the campaign trail was only part of the story,” Harris captioned a post on X featuring her video announcement. “My new book is a behind-the-scenes look at my experience leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

“Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States, 107 days traveling the country, fighting for our future — the shortest presidential campaign in modern history,” Harris said in the video, evidently looking to blame her failed presidential run on the truncated campaign rather than her performance.

“Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days and with candor and reflection, I’ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey,” she continued. “I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what it will take to move forward.”

The book is due out on September 23, and Simon & Schuster says, “Harris tells the story of one of the wildest and most consequential presidential campaigns in American history.”

“Written with candor, a unique perspective, and the pace of a page-turning novel, 107 Days takes you inside the race for the presidency as no one has ever done before,” the publisher adds.

Harris ended speculation about her immediate political future this week as she ruled out the possibility of running for governor in her home state.

“In recent months, I have given serious thought to asking the people of California for the privilege to serve as their Governor. I love this state, its people, and its promise. It is my home. But after deep reflection, I’ve decided that I will not run for Governor in this election,” Harris said in a statement.

Meanwhile, social media users reacted to news of the upcoming memoir, and not everyone was thrilled.
