Harvey Weinstein Claims Gwyneth Paltrow “Stabbed” Him in the Back, Brad Pitt Confronted Him [WATCH]

Former film producer Harvey Weinstein criticized actress Gwyneth Paltrow during a recent jailhouse interview, claiming she “stabbed” him in the back after she publicly described an encounter with him during the early years of her career, as reported by The New York Post.

Weinstein, 73, made the comments during an interview conducted from his cell at Rikers Island with The Hollywood Reporter.

The former Hollywood executive, who has faced accusations of sexual misconduct from more than 100 women, used the interview to dispute allegations made by several actresses, including Paltrow.

Paltrow, now 53, was among the actresses who spoke publicly about their experiences with Weinstein following a 2017 investigation published by The New York Times that revealed numerous allegations against the producer.

The reporting sparked a wave of similar claims and contributed to the emergence of the global #MeToo movement.

In the interview, Weinstein said he believed Paltrow had betrayed him.

“This person who was a friend, who owes her career to me, just stabs me in the back,” Weinstein told The Hollywood Reporter.

“She wanted to be part of the crowd. I won’t forgive her for that,” he added.

Paltrow’s allegation dates back to the mid-1990s when she was an emerging actress in Hollywood. She previously said that Weinstein grabbed her and suggested they go to a hotel bedroom for massages during a meeting.

According to accounts previously reported, the encounter upset Paltrow enough that she shared the experience with her then-fiancé, actor Brad Pitt.

During the interview, Weinstein described the incident differently, insisting that nothing inappropriate occurred.

“I walked out of a nice meeting with her and said, ‘How about a massage?’ And she just went, ‘No, I don’t think so.’ I got the message. I never put my hands on her,” Weinstein said.

Weinstein also recalled an encounter with Pitt after the actress informed him about the situation.

“She told Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt came to me and said, ‘Don’t do anything like that with my girl.’ I said ‘Don’t worry, Brad. I got it.’”

Weinstein said he believed Paltrow exaggerated the event when she later discussed it publicly.

“But then Gwyneth goes on Howard Stern and The New York Times and makes a big deal about it all. She knows that nothing happened,” Weinstein said.

“This person who was a friend, who owes her career to me, just stabs me in the back.”

The former Miramax executive has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 100 women over several decades.

In 2020, Weinstein was convicted in New York on rape-related charges and sentenced to 23 years in prison. He also received a 16-year sentence in Los Angeles following convictions in a separate case.

However, Weinstein later successfully appealed his New York conviction. As a result, he is scheduled to return to court in April for a retrial related to the New York case.

During the interview, Weinstein maintained that he had not committed sexual assault and suggested that some accusations were exaggerated.

“Rose McGowan, Rosanna Arquette, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie — they just exaggerated,” Weinstein said.

“They wanted to be victims. They wanted to be part of the club. And they destroyed me.”

The upcoming retrial is expected to revisit allegations that were central to the original New York prosecution as the case returns to court.
