Inside information on Jeffrey Epstein could be forthcoming as the Justice Department announced “no lead is off-limits” amid updates on talks for key associates to “testify truthfully.”
Supporter pushback demanding transparency on details about the late sex offender yet to be revealed to the public appeared to be having an impact on the Trump administration. Days after President Donald Trump had insisted the Epstein story was a “SCAM” and “hoax,” the DOJ confirmed plans to speak with Ghislaine Maxwell to ask her, “what do you know?”
Reposting his own statement shared by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche posted to X Tuesday morning that he was in contact with Epstein’s associate, who herself is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking.
“Justice demands courage,” said Blanche. “For the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: What do you know? At @AGPamBondi’s direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law–and no lead is off-limits.”

In his lengthier statement posted by Bondi, the deputy AG had said, “This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was written. Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
“President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence,” he remarked, referring to the directive to request grand jury transcripts be unsealed. “If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say.”
“I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days. Until now, no administration on behalf of the Department had inquired about her willingness to meet with the government. That changes now,” stated Blanche as David Oscar Markus, Maxwell’s attorney, had told CNN, “I can confirm that we are in discussions with the government and that Ghislaine will always testify truthfully. We are grateful to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth in this case.”
On top of shifting from a dismissive attitude, appearing to attempt to leave the Epstein story in the past, the decision to arrange a conversation with Maxwell followed legal efforts by the DOJ from the previous week attempting to block the convicted sex trafficker from appealing that conviction.
U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer had argued the contention that a co-conspirator clause in Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement protected her from prosecution in New York was “incorrect, and petitioner does not show that it would succeed in any court of appeals.”
Still, the poor rollout of a joint DOJ and FBI memo that maintained there isn’t a “incriminating ‘client list’” found many on social media questioning whether the latest steps were really about transparency or if they were simply an effort to save face at the same time others remained optimistic.
Call me crazy…
…but wouldn’t you have talked to Ghislaine BEFORE writing a memo that there was no Epstein list and that the investigation was closed?

So….. nobody tried to question her? This is amazing, witness the backpedaling pirouette pivot.

CRITICAL WORDING: “Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files *maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case*, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
Considering Trump has now confirmed that the entire file…
