Here We Go Again With Rory McIlroy Being A Prick, This Time For Trash Play At US Open

This guy just can’t help himself …

2025 Masters champion Rory McIlroy is always talking about “growing the game of golf,” but his actions say the complete opposite. When it comes to actually growing the sport of golf, one of the biggest elements is being accessible in terms of engagement. McIlroy, however, has no interest in that whatsoever as he constantly ignores the media. And that carried on Thursday.

When action got started for McIlroy in the U.S. Open, things were on the up as he hit two consecutive birdies on the second and third hole of the course. Arriving at the back nine, it was a completely different story for McIlroy as his game fell apart carding four bogeys, and he also had a double-bogey on his resume as well en route to a 41 on his last nine. For the U.S. Open, that put him at +4, which is right in the middle of the field. Overall for the round, he scored a 74.

Following rounds of play, golfers usually speak with members of the press to talk about their performance, but not Rory. He’s too good for that. The prick decided to leave Oakmont quickly and didn’t speak to a soul. According to the Peacock broadcast per OutKick, McIlroy declined all requests to talk to the media, and a pool reporter was no exception. For the status that McIlroy carries, that doesn’t happen much due to fans wanting to have access.

But Rory, he’s too good for the fans … friggin’ prick.
