Homeless Child Star Tylor Chase Hospitalized After Allegedly Trashing Motel

“Ned’s Declassified” star Tylor Chase is receiving assistance after allegedly trashing a motel and winding up hospitalized on Christmas day.

Concern grew after videos showing Chase disheveled on the street began to circulate on the internet. Co-stars, concerned fans and family members rallied around the child star. Former Nickelodeon castmate Daniel Curtis Lee secured a motel to get him off the streets, according to TMZ. The actor alleged that Chase trashed the room within hours, triggering greater concern.

Chase has been placed on a 72-hour hold accompanied by treatment before he’s transferred to a rehab facility, according to the outlet.

Jacob Harris — owner of Shipwreck Barbershop in Riverside, California — told TMZ he received a call from actor Shaun Weiss requesting his help in finding Chase. His number was then given to the actor’s family and costars and they participated in video calls and meetings with Chase via Harris’ phone.

Lee told the Daily Mail that Chase’s father “instructed” Harris do whatever was necessary to help the former child star.

Harris told TMZ he spent three hours with him on Christmas day, noting there was a “tipping point” during their time together.

“I had to do something. I finally found a crisis center that would come out and do an on-site evaluation,” Harris said.

He added that crisis center workers determined Chase needed to be taken in for “medical attention” at a Riverside-area hospital. The 72-hour hold was then implemented and treatment began, according to TMZ. (RELATED: New Information Suggests Rob Reiner’s Heinous Murder Might Have Been Prevented)

“He’s in good care now. And the future is looking bright. He just needed somebody to actually do something to help,” Harris told the Daily Mail.

Harris was reportedly brought into the matter due to being acquainted with former “The Mighty Ducks” actor Shaun Weiss, who faced addiction issues himself. Weiss’s representative issued a statement to the outlet.

“Tylor has been taken to a facility by a mental health crisis team. He is under the care of Riverside County officials,” the statement said. “The public outpouring of support came at a crucial time. He is not well. He requires care beyond the scope of standard detox facilities. He needs weeks to stabilize.”

It appears that Chase is willing to receive some assistance, but it’s unclear which facility he will be transported to for his next stages of care.
